At Artemis Equine Vets we have a state of the art Class IV therapeutic laser. This is a key piece of equipment which assists in rehabilitation for acute and chronic tendon and ligament injuries, muscle strains, skin conditions, back pain and wounds (traumatic, non-healing, excessive granulating wounds and post-surgical wounds). 

Class IV laser’s are used in horses to promote healing, reduce inflammation and relieve pain by delivering high energy light to deep tissues. It increases blood supply and encourages cellular activity, improves collagen and reduces scar tissue which leads to a faster recovery with improved tissue strength. 

 

It is a non-invasive treatment which often doesn’t require sedation and can be completed at the clinic or on your own
